JOIN THE BUILDHER TEAM - WE'RE LOOKING FOR AN "INTERIORS WHIZZ"!

We are looking for an Interiors Whizz – someone who wants to get stuck into designing and having fun with us!

 

In this role there is LOTS of documenting, so you will be fabulous at CAD! Micromanaging is not our thing, so please be self-directed and have a lot of pride in your work. At BuildHer, we have a passion for materials, design, learning and trying new things! You will be working as part of a team on projects, but it will be your special place in our team to bring the design to life from the initial concepting. As you will be presenting to clients, we really need you to have demonstrated experience in pulling together design and documentation and can show that you have consistently worked on projects in this capacity.

 

Presenting to and guiding our clients through this process is exciting, so developing a vision and being able to tell a story will be in your blood. The clients are important, but so are our supplier relationships. You will be able to work with suppliers and partners to look at new and interesting products. You will have pride in your work and bring a flair. To fit in with our team you will be a high achiever who loves creating, enjoys a team environment but also loves autonomy and ownership of your role.

 

Some of our projects have more scope for play than others, so you will need to be ok designing to meet budgets and working to create impact, no matter if you are working on a townhouse or a bespoke design.

 

We will be awarding bonus points for photography and key design flair. Understanding the photo at the end of the project is important, but if you can take a good shot that would be fabulous as well.

 

Boring but essential information:

  • The role is full time (or school hours if that is needed). We need you to be able to focus on all our many BuildHer wonders, so having a side gig will not work for us.
  • We would need you to work 1-2 days from our office in Northcote.
  • Salary can be negotiated based on your skills and experience.
  • You will need AutoCAD, Excel and Word skills.
  • Experience is the key to this role. As much as we love mentoring and helping women, this role needs a level of experience to hit the ground running.
  • We need someone who will just muck in and do, so whilst the above is the gist, we are a small business, we are nibble and things move at a fast pace. You will need to be open to growth. Sometimes there will be sharing for socials and assists required for the whole team.
