Alison Lewis (an original BuildHer Collective MasterBuildHer), like many of us, has worn many hats, collecting experience in a range of complimentary roles that led her to the hard hat she wears now.
In this blog we're taking a deeper dive into the now completed renovation. This labour of love was completed over a number of stages and Alison talks with us about the time of the build, her vision for the property, the journey to renovate whilst living in it with a young family, the challenges they encountered along the way and the final, and we think, stunning result. IVY HUANG & HER BEAUTIFUL EDWARDIAN IN ARMADALE
Ivy Huang (a BuildHer Collective 2020 MasterBuildHer) and her partner Adrian were on the hunt for a family home. Finding the Melbourne property market for family homes within their budget overall disappointing, Ivy changed strategy, and was won over by a really old 1910 Edwardian weatherboard cottage with great bones, huge bedrooms and 3.5m ceilings.
Set on a quiet cul-de-sac minutes from the action, the cottage oozed potential with its charming period vibe and before they knew it, Ivy and Adrian were home owners and the wheels for a large scale project were set in motion!
