Interior designer Manuela Millan is passionate about her city. An interior designer by trade, Manuela created the Instagram account @meanwhile_in_melbourne to share her passion for local designers.

Working full time in design with access to the designers she celebrates, Manuela launched the website Meanwhile in Melbourne in order to take her celebration of design further. Now, Manuela shares the stories behind the images. She still works four to five days a week, yet somehow finds the time to curate a calendar of design events for Melbourne designophiles; as well as a directory for sourcing local talent, plus weekly interviews with local designers. Phwoar!

Manuela's entire ethos is to celebrate the talent of others, + to draw our eye to all of the details that make a room, a wall, a space or an object magic. Among the endless praise she shares for others on her account, we can find snippets of her own amazing interior styling + design work - heaping the praise on her suppliers, of course.

This lady is queen of humble pie - but also the kind of person that makes Instagram a joy, leading you through a vortex of design until you really have no idea what time it is, or where you began.

Recently launching Meanwhile in Sydney on Instagram to celebrate the wonderful work of Sydney interior designers, we can't wait to see what's next for Manuela Millan.
