When you’ve worked a certain way your entire life with a steady job, regular hours and a reliable income, it can seem impossible to pursue a different way of living. We all get so used to the stability of our lives, but when we stop to think about what’s most important to us, often times it becomes clear that we need a little bit of a shake up.
For our guest, Annie Brereton a little shake up wasn’t quite enough. In 2017 Annie and her husband Shane quit their jobs and went searching for adventure. With a focus on treading more gently on the natural environment and repurposing what already exists, their business Salvage Merchants was born. With too many combined skills to mention, this dynamic duo create unique, authentic living spaces using salvaged materials. They value doing more with less, driving change through example, connection without competition and open hearted engagement with their clients and they don’t mind getting their hands dirty to create something truly beautiful for their clients.
The excitement and passion for what Annie and her husband, Shane are doing, is infections and we can’t wait to share this episode with you.
