Are you “loving your laundry”? It’s a place where most of us don’t like to spend time but piles of dirty laundry, especially when you have a small pile of children, is just a fact of life. So why not make the experience and the space as enjoyable and beautiful as you possibly can! Today we talk all things laundries – how to organise, store and how new technology appliances like these ones here from Samsung, can help save time and effort. PS – how lovely is this little laundry from the “South House” Rathmines Project by the BuildHer8 and designed by Rachel Collard!

LOVING YOUR LAUNDRY

HOW GREAT PLANNING AND SMART APPLIANCES CAN MAKE IT EASY!

THERE’S JUST NO GETTING AWAY FROM IT (WELL FOR MOST OF US)!

It’s one of the many facts of life – the never-ending pile of dirty washing! The laundry is often the least favourite room in a house and understandably, we want to minimize time spent in there.

But, you can actually style your laundry to be a beautiful, functional, and efficient space that you love walking into every day.

IN THIS PODCAST WE ARE TALKING ABOUT LOVING YOUR LAUNDRY

In today’s episode, Rebeka and special guest, our very own Tamara, chat about the set-up of their all-important laundries. Between them, they have 11 children and, as you can imagine, a tonne of washing! They’ve both had to become very efficient and organised in planning their washing, storage, and instilling routines in their children.

They talk about Tamara’s renovation that cut into her laundry room, and the ideal solution she found to save on space. Rebeka talks about her love for organisation and how she utilises her hampers for different types of clothes. She even has a Samsung washer and dryer that sends her a text message when the cycles are complete! Now that’s systemised.

Storage is very important in a laundry and something you can play around with to find the best solution for your family. Think about the flow of your house and the way the activity moves through your home. By systemising processes and organising the bits and pieces, you’ll be able to accomplish more in less time and get everything on your to-do list done.
